One of the first things you’ll notice upon visiting the centro district’s main area in Mexico City will be the colorfully decked-out tribal people drumming and dancing on the square near the cathedral. It’s quite a sight; you can’t miss it. Plenty of tourists are gathered around the whole time, watching and perhaps learning a bit about the culture. 

Soon, you’ll notice all sorts of other activity in this area, including lines of people getting blessed by the holy people. (I’m not sure if “priest” or “shaman” would be the correct term, frankly.) But, I watched a few of these and would like to describe what happens.
