Yelapa is, as of this writing (May 2018), still accessible only by boat from Puerto Vallarta (about 40 minutes) or Boca. But, they have a road planned in the near future, we've heard. Known as a fishing village, the place is more of a quiet getaway these days. It's a small bay within the larger Banderas Bay, really. Good snorkeling, a few restaurants, waterfalls, and the obligatory iguanas running around. It's also famous for the pie they sell on the beach.
